How many members does the chapter have?
Approximately 400 members; including 220 professional members.
When does the chapter meet?
The AMTA-MT chapter holds a fall and spring meeting each year as part of the chapter convention. Generally the spring conventions/meetings are scheduled around the end of April or early May. The fall conventions/meeting tends to be scheduled near the end of September/early October. The location of the conventions rotates to different locations within Montana. AMTA-MT Chapter members are informed of the conventions in the chapter Light Touch Newsletter and this website.
What about educational opportunities sponsored by the AMTA-MT Chapter?
Workshops are offered during the spring and fall conventions.
How else can I keep informed about chapter and state happenings?
If you are a chapter member, you will receive an emailed newsletter "The Light Touch" three times per year (early spring. late summer and fall). Check back to this website for additional updates and upcoming events regarding national conventions, legislative activities and other chapter happenings.
When does the chapter hold board officer elections?
Elections are held at each spring conference during the membership meeting. Contact the chapter president if you are interested in running for an office.
Are there chapter (regional) units?
No, at this time the chapter does not have any established units. However, you may want to check with a board officer near you to determine if there are any local meetings which take place in your community.
What kind of volunteer opportunities are available within the chapter?
The chapter is always open to the talents of volunteers. Here are a few examples: writing articles for the newsletters, serving in a leadership capacity on the board, helping with planning conferences, assisting with fundraising, serving on the financial committee/auditing finances and the list goes on.
